The visitor centre takes you on a journey through the city’s past. Maps, touchscreens, films, and models tell the story of “Dendermonde on its fortifications” and explain why the city was strengthened over the centuries with a bastioned fortress. Of course, there is also a reference to the Ros Beiaard and the Giants!
