Take a journey into the past!

Fancy an unforgettable day out on the steam train through Scheldeland? The historic steam train runs every Sunday in July, August, and September. The railway line is 14 kilometers long and winds through the beautiful nature of Scheldeland and Klein-Brabant.

The non-profit organization Stoomtrein Dendermonde-Puurs was founded in 1977 with the aim of preserving historic railway equipment. The association rents railway line 52 Dendermonde-Puurs from the NMBS. There are five stops along the route: Baasrode-Noord, Sint-Amands, Oppuurs, Sint-Pietersburcht, and Puurs.

Interesting sights and picturesque villages are located near the route and are easily accessible on foot or by bike.
