Shared bikes

The SNCB has set up its own shared bike system at over 110 locations in Belgium: the Blue Bikes. In Dendermonde, they are located at the train station. The bikes are available 24/7 and can be borrowed for a maximum period of 24 hours.

Additionally, from August 2024, electric bikes will be placed at 7 locations. The management of these bikes is handled by Hoppy.

Blue Bike

Become a member of Blue-bike via the website. Go to the location and follow the procedure via the app or card.

Hoppy

Install the Hoppy app on your smartphone. Unlock the bike by scanning the QR code on the bike. After your ride, the bike can be left at one of the drop-off zones. The app offers various subscription plans and payment options, including Visa, Bancontact, Mastercard, and eco vouchers.

There are 28 electric Hoppy bikes in Dendermonde:

  • Buisstraat at the train stop (railway crossing)
  • Grembergen Church, Dokter Haekstraat
  • Sint-Gillis Church, Sint-Gillislaan 78
  • Leopoldlaan near no. 97 (bus stop, apartment building)
  • Dendermonde Station, Statieplein
  • Schoonaarde Station, Oude Brugstraat

The availability of bikes can be checked in the app.
