Dendermonde is not only known for its decennial Ros Beiaard procession. Every last Thursday of August, the three guild giants – Indiaan, Mars, and Goliath – dance through the city center, starring in their own procession, Katuit. In 2005, the giants and Katuit were added to the UNESCO list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
