In the Church of Our Lady in Dendermonde, you can find two paintings by the Flemish master Antoon Van Dyck. The Adoration of the Shepherds was recently restored as part of the Flemish Masters in Situ project. In 2024, the second Van Dyck painting, Christ on the Cross, was restored on site.
The restoration of Christ on the Cross was carried out by the ArtSodi workshop from Zottegem. Their work was documented in a film series.
